	Beijing .... City of Smog If you were to see for yourself the sheer volume of traffic on the roads in Beijing, you  would understand why there is high pollution. The traffic on the main roads continues to be heavy throughout the night.

	Beijing Motorcyclist This is typical of any form of traffic in Beijing.  It is not unusual to see motorcyclists travelling along carrying items such as this.  In this case, the materials carried is more than likely plastic packaging for re-cycling.  Many of the Chinese in Beijing collect re-cycling  materials to supplement their very low income.

	Beijing Night Market Beijing Night Market is a fascinating place.  This is the exactly the kind of experience I would be looking for when visiting somewhere like China. Here, fruit kebabs are on offer, a little more tempting than other things on offer, such as sea-horse,  starfish or scorpion!

	Birds Nest Stadium, Beijing This image was taken in October 2007, whilst still under construction. You can tell just how massive this construction is if you look at the tiny figures of the workmen on top of the building.
